Online PhD Colloquium (English version below)

Die Young Academics Working Group des Fachverbands Kulturmanagement e.V. lädt Doktorand*innen des Kulturmanagements und angrenzender Disziplinen ein, Vorschläge für das (Online-) Doktorand*innenkolloquium am 27.09.2024 von 09:00-13:00 Uhr einzureichen. Das Kolloquium ist offen für alle thematischen und methodischen Schwerpunkte im Bereich des Kulturmanagements. Präsentiert werden sollte work-in-progress Forschung aus dem eigenen Promotionsprojekt. Beiträge können in englischer oder deutscher Sprache eingereicht, vorgestellt und diskutiert werden. 

Über das Format

Das Kolloquium bietet die Möglichkeit, die Forschung in einem akademischen Kontext zu präsentieren, Fragen stellen zu können und qualifiziertes Feedback zu erhalten – sowohl von Professor*innen aus dem Bereich Kulturmanagement, insbesondere aber auch im peer-to-peer-Austausch mit anderen Doktorand*innen. Jede Präsentation sollte 15 Minuten dauern, gefolgt von einer bis zu 25-minütigen Diskussion. Damit ein konstruktiver Austausch stattfinden kann, sollten alle Teilnehmenden bitte über das gesamte Kolloquium anwesend sein. Wir freuen uns darauf, work-in-progress zu diskutieren und einen Raum für Dialog, Fragen, und Vernetzung zu schaffen!  

Informationen zur Einreichung

Bitte beschreiben Sie in Ihrem Vorschlag kurz Ihr Forschungsthema und Ihre Hauptforschungsfrage. Darüber hinaus möchten wir Sie bitten, zentrale Herausforderungen oder spezifische Fragen (z.B. in Bezug auf Methoden, Konzept, Bezug zu Theorien usw.) zu formulieren, die Sie mit den Anwesenden diskutieren möchten. 

Sie können zudem eine Person mit Expertise in Ihrem Thema angeben, von der Sie sich Feedback wünschen. Wir fragen diese Person dann für die Teilnahme am Kolloquium an. Bitte geben Sie dazu Namen und Email-Adresse der Person an. 

Bitte senden Sie Ihren Vorschlag (ca. 1 Seite) bis zum 15.06.2024 an youngacademics@fachverband-kulturmanagement.org. Geben Sie bitte zusätzlich folgende Informationen an: 

• Namen
• Arbeitstitel des Projekts
• Betreuer*in
• Institution / Hochschule
• Beginn des Promotionsprojekts

Sie erhalten bis zum 15.07.2024 eine Rückmeldung zu Ihrem Vorschlag (Zu-/Absage). Die Teilnahme am Kolloquium ist auch ohne Präsentation möglich. Melden Sie sich dazu bitte bis zum 15.09.2024 ebenfalls unter youngacademics@fachverband-kulturmanagement.org an.

Online PhD Colloquium 27.09.2024 

The Young Academics Working Group of the Fachverband Kulturmanagement invites doctoral students in cultural management and related disciplines to submit proposals for the (online) doctoral colloquium on 27.09.2024 from 09:00-13:00. The colloquium is open to all thematic and methodological focuses in the field of cultural management. Work-in-progress research from your own PhD project should be presented. Contributions can be submitted, presented and discussed in English or German.

About the format

The colloquium offers the opportunity to present the research in an academic context, to ask questions and to receive qualified feedback – both from professors in the field of cultural management, but especially also in peer-to-peer exchange with other doctoral students. Each presentation should last 15 minutes, followed by a discussion lasting up to 25 minutes. In order for a constructive exchange to take place, all participants should be present for the entire colloquium. We look forward to discussing work-in-progress and creating a space for dialog, questions, and networking! 

Submission requirements

In your proposal, please briefly describe your research topic and your main research question. In addition, we would like to ask you to formulate key challenges or specific questions (e.g. in terms of methods, concepts, theoretical framework, etc.) that you would like to discuss with the attendees. You can also indicate a person with expertise in your topic from whom you would like feedback. We will then ask this person to participate in the colloquium. Please provide the person’s name and email address.

Please send your proposal (approx. 1 page) to youngacademics@fachverband-kulturmanagement.org by 15.06.2024. Please also include the following information 

• Name
• Working title of the project
• Supervisor
• Institution / University
• Start of the PhD project

You will receive feedback on your proposal (acceptance/rejection) by 15.07.2024. Participation in the colloquium is also possible without a presentation. In this case, please also register by 15.09.2024 at youngacademics@fachverband-kulturmanagement.org.
